The Mars Generation 24 Under 24 Leaders and Innovators In STEAM and Space Awards

The next generation of leaders and innovators will help change the world for the future. And while with age often comes wisdom, we are looking to identify and honor some of the brightest students and young people positioned to shape our future for the better.

The Mars Generation 24 Under 24 Leaders and Innovators in STEAM and Space Awards is an annual awards program recognizing the amazing work of young people ages 24 and under who are making difference in the world through science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics (STEAM) and/or space.

The 2017 nomination period is now closed and judging has begun. Make sure to sign up for email updates to be notified when we announce the winners in December 2017!

Requirements for nominees include:

  • Must be age 24 or under
  • Can be from anywhere in the worldTaylor Richardson The Mars Generation 24 Under 24 STEM
  • Must be involved in any project or work within STEAM and/or space. This includes but is not limited to outreach work to excite other students, publishing papers, speaking, research, competitions, inventions, innovation – projects that underscore leadership in STEAM and/or space exploration.

The selection committee includes a panel of education, STEAM and space experts. Selection will be based on blind rubric scoring of nominations. It is important that nominations include as much accurate information about the student or young individual as possible to support the nomination as we seek no outside information in reviewing applications.

The 24 Under 24 Leaders and Innovators in STEAM and Space award recipients will be announced in December 2017.

The winning students and young people will be notified by email and will be asked to sign a media release in order to accept the award. For students and nominees under the age of 18, a parent or guardian signature will be required.
